Ministry Involvement Outside of the Church
One way we send people out into the harvest for Jesus Christ is getting involved in ministry outside the bounds of GCC. Many of our people are involved in organizations like NUMAS Haus, Crisis Nursery, and First Choice Pregnancy Services. Others work with co-workers on impacting the community in various compassion outreaches.
Service or Mission Trip
Another example of being sent is serving on a service project (hurricane or flood relief) or global short-term mission trips (e.g., Dominican Republic). You do not have to leave Brown County, you can serve with the impromptu service teams with helping hands for those in need locally.
Living Life On Mission
A vital part of living life on mission is intentionally building life-giving relationships with those who are not yet in Christ to help them understand the Gospel. Living Life on Mission helps us to see that every part of our lives is a mission field to reach others for Christ, whether on the ball field, at work, in our neighborhood, or with friends.
Multiplying Disciples
When disciples are multiplied, the Gospel Kingdom expands and new people are available to be sent into their spheres of influence. Multiplication is better than addition. Disciples reproducing other disciples, who reproduce disciples. This is demonstrated in 2 Tim. 2:2. “What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.”
