Pastor Phil Schenck is a veteran pastor and holds a Doctorate from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (in Chicago, IL). His previous pastorates were served at churches in Isle, MN, and in Grand Rapids, MN.
Phil enjoys hunting and fishing and serving as an official for high school sports. If you look closely, you might find him officiating a football, basketball, baseball, or softball game somewhere in the local area.
Phil and his wife, Carol, have been married for over 40 years. They have lived in New Ulm since 2011. They are both involved in the community in a number of different ways. Carol is part of the ISD 88 school system as a paraprofessional. Phil has been and currently serves as a member of several different community organizations in New Ulm. Together, they are licensed as foster parents for Brown County. Phil and Carol are the parents of three grown children and the grandparents of 12 grandchildren.
Carol and Phil are excited about the ministry of Grace Community Church. The church is uniquely positioned and equipped to try new things and to reach out in new ways. Being relationship-based instead of attendance-based, the goal is to make and grow disciples of Jesus that mature and multiply!
