Grace Community Family – MEET THE JUNI’S

Good afternoon every one! I hope that your week is going great and trusting that God is continuing to bless each and every one of you! This week we are going to get to know the Juni’s just a little bit better! Such a Great family with so much Love for the Lord.  Tell us about your family… Jeff remembers writing Ellen’s name down at a FCA huddle meeting while in college at the University of Minnesota, Morris. After college, Jeff worked as a compliance coordinator for Ag Processing. Ellen taught first grade. Their paths crossed again 7 years later when Jeff went into youth ministry and borrowed Tentmaker Training materials from Ellen’s roommate, Carrie. After developing a friendship, Jeff courted Ellen and they were wed on Aug. 14, 1998. They have two daughters, Abigail and Renae. Their whole family enjoys being outdoors in God’s creation, playing sports, and music. Jeff currently serves as Vice President of Field Ministry for FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) overseeing the ministry in the ‘Northland’ (North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota Wisconsin, FCA Endurance, and FCA Hockey) as well as the international ‘super region’ of Southern Africa; while Ellen teaches ESL (English as a second language) students for New Ulm Public Schools.  What brought you to GCC?…. While living in Mankato and attending the Evangelical Free Church there, Jeff attended several church multiplication overviews. After moving back to New Ulm (Jeff’s hometown), they continued to attend church in Mankato while hosting a small group in their home in New Ulm. Members of the small group began exploring the opportunity to do a church plant in New Ulm. With the support of the District and Dan Moose, Grace Community Church began. What GCC activities/groups do you participate in? You may have been greeted by Jeff’s cheerful handshake as he says “hello” on Sunday mornings. He also serves on the Elder board of GCC. Ellen coordinates the worship schedule and worship teams. Jeff likes to attend the men’s Bible study on Sat. mornings when he is available. Jeff and Ellen are currently hosting the Truth Project small group. If you could share 1 thing with everyone you talked to about why you attend GCC, what would it be?  Grace Community Church is a wonderful place to be part of a church family where people are authentic and the Word of God is center to everything that is done.
