Greetings Everyone!
Celebration Service
I really don’t know quite how to describe our Celebration Service that took place last Sunday. If you were there you understand that it was very special day.
Our special guests just added to the day. Dan Moose, Church Planting Director for the EFCA North Central District did a great job of challenging us to follow Christ and move forward. Pastor Pete VanderHook, former pastor of the Mankato Evangelical Free Church, encouraged us to remember the heart of the Gospel. Gary Bach, member of the Elder Board in Mankato and liaison with our Core Team throughout our training expressed how the training and planning undertaken by those involved in the church will serve it well in the future.
It was exciting to review the history of our church. It was equally exciting to receive 32 people as charter members of Grace Community Church.
A number of people worked very hard for us to be able to enjoy this day. To each of them I want to express my thanks. Whether you helped organize child care or care for children or set up sound or greet people as they came or helped prepare and serve a wonderful meal or helped to clean up afterwards, Thank You!
Sanctity of Life Sunday
This Sunday, January 20th, we will be recognizing Sanctity of Life Sunday. We celebrate Life.
Amanda Freier will be introducing us to the Director of First Choice Pregnancy Services here in New Ulm who will be sharing with us their mission and ministry to the community and how we can be a part of that.
Life is sacred. We can impact lives for Christ in very simple ways every day. We will take a look at some of that evidence in a creative way on Sunday. You won’t want to miss it.
Annual Meeting
Our first ever Annual Meeting will be held immediately following our worship service on Sunday, January 27th.
Allow me to remind you that we anticipate that this will be like no Annual Meeting you have ever been part of. So, we invite you to remain after the service that day and be a part of the fun.
Small Group Super Sunday
Anyone hear of “Super Sunday”? Well, we are having our own version of that on Sunday, February 3rd.
We want everyone to be involved in one of our Community Groups. But, we realize that not everyone knows what they are, when they are, what they cover, who they are for, or, what to expect once you get there.
Well, we hope to clear all that up for you on Small Group Super Sunday. You will be amazed at what you will “find”…or…”learn” that Sunday when you come to church. You won’t forget it. It won’t be what you may be used to.
Curious yet? Hope so!
Get to Know Pastor Phil and Carol
If you are new to Grace Community Church or would just like to get better acquainted with us, you are invited to our home on Sunday, Feb. 3rd, from 2-4pm. The only thing on the agenda will be good conversation and an opportunity to get better acquainted with us and others in leadership. All ages are welcome, so feel free to bring your children.
See you Sunday! Be in prayer. Invite a friend.
Pastor Phil

Thank you Pat and Doug! I will make sure that Pastor Phil and Carol get your message.
